The programmer (Ed Faranda) an engineer by trade, was also a musician in school and have a great love for music. Programming the display combines his Engineering skills, along with the love of music.

Dancing With Lights is not a program that causes the lights to re-act to music. Each song is hand chorographic by a programmer which takes anywhere between 2 to 4 hours per minute of song to program.
